WHAT IS THE STUDIO (MDR)™?

The Studio MDR™ offers an unparalleled full body workout. Our pilates-based program is for all levels and uses the safe training technique called the Lagree Method, created by acclaimed fitness guru Sebastien Lagree. It strengthens, tightens and tones the entire body, integrating traditional lengthening and stretching techniques.

I'M READY TO TAKE MY FIRST MEGAFORMER CLASS -- SHOULD I START WITH A PRIVATE LESSON?

Unlike traditional pilates, the Megaformer workout does not require you to start with private sessions -- all classes are designed to work in a group setting. Because clients have their own machine, you can modify each exercise to suit your current fitness level. Most new students do fine stepping into our group classes. However, if you have back pain, painful joints or another medical condition, it is recommended to take a private session first to assess your fitness level and limitations. If you are concerned, just let us know and we will be glad to take care of you.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY FIRST CLASS?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time for your orientation. We take such pride in giving you the ultimate fitness experience and your safety is our # 1 priority. If you arrive late for your first class, (10 minutes prior to the class starting), we reserve the right to reschedule you for another time/date. This is to ensure your safety because we want you to be properly prepared with an overview of the Megaformer. It can also be very distracting for other clients when the teacher has to stop the class that has already started. This applies to new guests who have done this method at another studio before.

WHO CAN TAKE CLASSES AT THE STUDIO (MDR)™?

Just about anyone. Classes are suited for people of all levels of fitness as you can push yourself as hard as you like. If you have any medical conditions, please make sure you have doctor approval first. If this is your first time taking a Lagree Method class, we suggest starting with the Intro to (MDR) or (MDR) Total Body.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE ON THE MEGAFORMER?

The workout is designed to work your body to muscle fatigue at which point you will need to rest. Depending on your own personal fitness level and the intensity of your workout, you will need more or less time to recover. We recommend three times a week to allow your body proper recovery time, but some students love the workout so much that they come in as many as four times a week! The key is to listen to your body and to find a routine that works best for you. That being said, you may only take one class in a day.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE SESSIONS?

We have an easy to use and extremely secure software system to assist you in reserving a session. We recommend all our members get familiar with our automated online booking system which can be accessed via the SIGN UP FOR CLASSES tab. It is the easiest, fastest, and most accurate way to book classes. Simply create a user name and password, and use it to schedule, purchase and track your visit history. If you forgot your password or need more information, just send us an email. It is always best to reserve your session online to guarantee you have a Megaformer available.

CAN I TAKE CLASSES WITH CLASSPASS?

We offer a wide range of our classes through third party platforms such as ClassPass, GymPass and FitReserve.

When you book through any of the listed platforms above, you MUST reschedule, cancel, switch or rebook through the ClassPass, GymPass or FitReserve platforms. We are not able to change or alter your reservation in any capacity, and any fees that are incurred due to late cancellations or class absences are charged by the third party.

ClassPass, Gympass and FitReserve offer a limited number of classes on their platforms. We are unable to switch your class to a different time that time isn’t offered on the third party platform if you are unable to attend for any reason.

If you call to cancel or switch, our team will redirect you to ClassPass, GymPass or FitReserve or the original Platform you booked through and will not have any influence over additional fees you will be charged for changing or switching classes.

DO YOU HAVE AN APP?

Yes, and you can use it to schedule classes, manage your account and much more.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO SWITCH MY CLASS?

You may request to change your class time free of charge, same day only and space permitting, by contacting any of our front desks 2+ hours ahead of the original class start time. We allow one courtesy switch per day within this time frame. Any additional class switches, or any request to switch class times within 2 hours of start time, incurs a $15 switch fee.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL A CLASS?

If you cancel your class booking within 12 hours of the class start time, a late cancellation fee of $15 will be charged to your account. For classes that were booked using either a single session or a class package, your class credit will be added back into your account within 1-2 business days after the fees have been processed. Late cancellations made with an All Access Monthly Membership are charged $15 and no extra credits are added back into your account.

If you cancel your class booking before the 12 hour window start time, then there are no additional charges. This cancellation policy does not apply to classes booked through ClassPass, GymPass and FitReserve as all cancellations must be made through their platforms.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A CLASS?

Class absences for monthly memberships and 2 Week Intros, no shows will incur a $38 fee. If absent using a single session or class package, you lose the class.

WILL MY SPOT BE GIVEN AWAY IF I AM LATE TO CLASS?

Yes. It is very important to arrive on time as a respect to other clients. Many times, clients will drop in to see if someone doesn’t show allowing them a space in the class. If you do not arrive within 5 minutes of the scheduled class time, your space may be given to someone who is waiting. Be sure to sign in to class so we know you were present!

CAN I WAITLIST FOR A SESSION THAT IS FULL?

Absolutely and we recommend doing this! Not only will you have better luck getting into a class, it also helps us know where we need to add classes. Get on the list by clicking "Sign Up Now!" when a class reads "15 Reserved, 0 Open" . Please be sure to continue checking your account or the app to know if you have been moved into an open slot. For an additional notification by email or text, you must update your notification preferences in your account by choosing either email or text as your preferred mode of communication.

If you are on the waitlist for a class and receive a notification by text that you have secured a spot, you will need to respond YES immediately if you will be attending . If you will not be attending the class, you are responsible for canceling online or in the app to avoid a no show fee. All cancellation/no show policies still apply for waitlist attendance. If you have any questions, please email us at vip@thestudiomdr.com.

*Please remember that the waitlist closes 12 hours before class start time.

CAN I PAUSE MY MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP?

We offer an All Access Monthly Membership available for $249 includes unlimited visits for 30 days. If you are unable to attend classes long term due to injury or illness, please contact VIP@thestudiomdr.com

We do not pause memberships for travel or vacations.

HOW LONG IS MY CLASS PACK GOOD FOR BEFORE IT EXPIRES?

We offer a wide range of Class Packs to help you book classes in advance. Single sessions, 5 packs and 10 packs are valid for 6 months from the date that you take your first class while using that class pack credit.

20 Packs and other seasonal offers like the Summer 6 Pack and Pink Friday Pack that expire in 12 months from the date of purchase.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING (and not bring) TO CLASS?

• For safety and sanitary reasons, we REQUIRE EVERYONE to wear non-slip, tread socks during the clas. They're available for purchase at THE STUDIO (MDR)™. No shoes are needed for classes.

• Bring a hand towel as you will most likely sweat!

• We have a water dispenser, but some students like to bring their own water bottle. For safety reasons, no glass bottles please.

• Wear comfortable clothes you can easily move in, much like you would for a yoga class or the gym.

• Jewelry is NOT a good idea as it tears up our machines.

• No cell phones during classes, let yourself have 50 minutes that is all about you.

• No strong perfumes as some students are allergic.

• Your credit card is on file, so cash/credit/check is not necessary to bring unless you prefer not to make your payment online. Please understand that no classes can be confirmed if you’re not prepaid.

• Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of your first class so your trainer can provide you with a brief orientation.

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO TAKE CLASS?

All clients must be 15 years of age.  Clients ages 15-17 require a signature from a parent or guardian in-studio.
